About Lacombe Learning Hub

Lacombe Learning Hub was founded in 2025 by two passionate educators, Tia Vandermeer and Darlene Grahn, with a vision to create a safe, welcoming space where students can grow academically and personally. Both award-winning, Alberta-certified teachers, they saw firsthand the gaps in learning following the COVID-19 pandemic and felt called to step in.

With over 49 years of combined classroom experience, Tia and Darlene understand the importance of relationships in education. They have worked with students of all ages—Darlene as an elementary and middle school literacy and numeracy expert, and Tia as a junior and senior high specialist with a focus on inclusion. Together, they bring unmatched expertise, patience, and dedication.

Proudly Métis-owned and family-run, Lacombe Learning Hub is built on the values of community, culture, and spirit. What makes us unique is our personalized approach: small groups, one-on-one focus, and strong connections that help students feel supported and confident. Every tutor is Alberta-certified, ensuring quality and consistency.
